![@Bistro🎱 [INVITE] is ALWAYS a good idea when you’re after a proper pub lunch! 🍽️ One of the things we love about Bistro 8 is that they’re never afraid to switch things up — constantly changing the menu, bringing in fresh dishes while still keeping those classic favourites we all know and love. We were invited along to try some of the new menu dishes and, honestly, we were not disappointed! 👌 🍹 We also had to try a couple of the new cocktails — the Pink Lady and Solero Sunrise. The Pink Lady was so refreshing, but that Solero Sunrise… if I’d discovered that during the heatwave, it could have been dangerous 😂☀️🍹 My daughter went for the children’s steak and fries, and when I say it was MASSIVE… that portion would have been enough to feed an adult! 😂🥩 But the absolute standout for me was the garlic & rosemary lamb steak with roasted red pepper romesco-style sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, confit cherry tomatoes, salsa verde and vegetable crisps. The lamb was perfectly cooked — tender, juicy and packed with flavour. The romesco sauce was rich and delicious, while those crispy vegetables added the perfect bit of crunch against the creamy mash. 🤤 The roasted chicken supreme was equally delicious and cooked to perfection. I particularly loved that the sauce came separately, so you could pour it over, dip into it, or just go in with your own sauce-to-chicken ratio! 😂 And obviously… there was NO WAY we were leaving without the famous cheesy garlic loaf. 🧀🧄 That gooey, cheesy goodness was absolutely perfect for mopping up every last bit of that sauce.
