The headboard is too high. The “shelves” on the headboard are meant to be like side tables.

I like the headboard but the mattress is too small for it. I’d probably get new furniture that goes with the style of the headboard.

Paint the furniture and change the knobs. It will look really good.

Maybe strip the furniture down to wood. Pink wash it and add gold trim and gold handles. Or maybe paint it the color of the headboard and add gold accents.

paint the furniture same cold as the walls. the carpet is what I don't like. get a nice big area rug to cover as much as u can. that brown is awful.
