Hey! Locksmith here, so when it comes to you having to push your key in hard to manually lock and unlock the door, that’s typically a sign of either the pins in the cylinder starting to wear down, or your key itself is wearing down. Take a look at your key and see if either A.) there are straight line lacerations on the key, that indicates pin failure which requires the cylinder being rekey’d or B.) the cuts on the key look like smooth hills as opposed to jagged mountain tops. If they’re smooth, that means that your key is worn down. I’d recommend going to your local locksmith and checking to see if they have a shell for your key. Hope this helps!
