What sucks is that multifamily housing is considered commercial so Delaware apartment renters are going to face rent increases to cover the increase caused by the changes after the special session.

How did they even develop these school tax rates? I’m in the Christiana school district and the new rate is 0.79970 per $100 of assessed value. If the previous rate was neutralized it should be 0.339. The new tax rate is basically doubled than the neutralized rate. Then it’s a slap in the face that large corporations and govt officials got tax reductions. My rep looked me right in the face with fake sympathy and stated they are facing similar issues and when I looked up their tax bill that was a lie. Bring out the pitchforks
