it's a datapack, not a mod! it doesn't change the game in any way other than changing the already existing parameters. So no, you don't need a good pc to run it, you need a good pc to run with WITH Distant Horizons, to be able to actually render such big areas.

you need distant horizons and shades t make it look good although your gonna need to leave your PC on for a few days cos of how long it takes to load each chunk
