@sarahwhitlow_: When it comes to Lipedema, movement is about more than just “working out.” These are train & drain exercises, designed to help your body in two ways: 🤍 Later stages: We focus on waking up the lymphatic system, burning calories, and slowly building strength. Moves like deep belly breathing and seated marching are powerful because they act as natural pumps for fluid. Adding light arm movements helps open lymphatic flow in the upper body, but remember, the arms can tire quickly. That’s normal. Go at your own pace, as long as your body allows. It’s about gentle, consistent effort, not pushing to exhaustion. 🤍 Early stages: We can crank it up. Weighted marches, curls, and step-outs challenge the muscles while still supporting lymphatic flow. Here, the goal is to build more muscle, since muscle mass acts like a metabolic engine, helping stabilize weight, improve circulation, and give you better long-term results. 💪🏻 Every stage can train and drain so long as mobility allows and remember, our lymphatic system relies on the movement. We’re not just moving to sweat; we’re moving to support drainage, manage inflammation, burn energy, and build strength in a way that respects where your body is today. I’m also so, SO excited to soon be rolling out my new coaching app! My app will soon host my official coaching community giving to everything you need to build your own plan. We’ll also be addressing mindset, & nervous system as it’s important for these bodies to rest & digest.
