@playful.movements: 👶✨ Welcome to the Developmental Baby Game Show! Here’s why my cohost kept saying NO ⬇️ 1️⃣ Standing before 6 months Babies don’t have the muscle strength or hip control yet. Putting weight through their legs too early can put stress on joints instead of helping development. 2️⃣ Baby jumpers They encourage tiptoe standing and don’t promote the core + hip strength babies need for walking. Can cause orthopedic impairments and exacerbate hip dysplasia (especially if used before 6 mos, but also after). 3️⃣ Walkers with wheels These are never recommended—they can cause accidents and injuries, and they don’t actually help babies learn to walk sooner. Safer alternatives: push toys or cruising along furniture. 💡 Remember: every baby develops at their own pace, and safe floor play is always best for building strong, confident movers! #pediatricphysicaltherapy #baby #developmentalmilestones #babymilestones #babytips
