I can tell you as a sonographer, we are not like *them.* We scan women on their periods, with discharge, actively bleeding or miscarrying, post-termination, and we are NOT judging you. We just clean up and move on to the next patient who needs our help 💕

I'm 23 almost 24 and never had a pap. this is exactly why. it's too vulnerable and too open to judgement. I don't feel safe. I have been SA in the past and I don't want to feel violated at the doctor's office and I don't want to be a joke for them to laugh at while I'm overcoming a panic attack.

I used to work in a OBGYN office and yes, I would suggest tearing off the paper and just throwing it away myself if there was any leakage

this office I worked for a few times, had STI patients in Friday's and I always felt to sad watching the nurses put on 3 pairs of gloves as a joke and playing rock paper scissors to see who has to go in the room. nurses/medical assistants really are mean girls.
