@916today: Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force Arrests Thirteen Suspects In a Sting Operation Who Sought to Meet Children for Sex! From Sac Sheriff: A video recap of Operation SPF-13 is available now on the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) pages. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, comprised of over 90 personnel from 21 allied agencies, concluded the three-day undercover operation, Operation SPF-13, in July, targeting adults who attempted to exploit children online. Undercover detectives posed as 13-year-old (and younger) children on various social media platforms. During these communications, the undercover Detectives made their ages clear to the suspects. Suspects still directed the undercover to commit sexual acts, ask for and send pornographic material, and/or arrange to meet and have sexual contact. 13 suspects were arrested across Sacramento, Placer, and Humboldt counties on multiple felonies and were booked into jail in their respective jurisdictions. Some suspects traveled up to three hours to meet what they believed were children, and one arrived with more than 100 grams of methamphetamine. The most shocking was a suspect who brought his 14-month-old baby to the planned meet. #916 #sacramento #sac #elkgrove #sactown #viral #saç #rocklin
