Like… imagine being seventeen, finding out you’re pregnant, and instead of telling literally anyone who could help, you just decide, “eh, maybe if I ignore it, it’ll go away.” That’s exactly what Alexis Avila did. She and her boyfriend took one of those “haha let’s take a pregnancy test for fun” TikTok trends, and surpriseeeee, it was positive. Instead of dealing with it, she hides the whole pregnancy from her parents, lies to her boyfriend that she had a miscarriage, and just keeps pretending like nothing’s happening. Fast forward to January 7th, 2022. She wakes up in agonizing pain, realizes she’s in labor, and instead of screaming for help, she locks herself in the bathroom and delivers the baby alone.
