The best way to buy knives is to not buy a set. Buy an individual chef’s knife, serrated bread knife (spending a lot of money on this is a waste since you can’t sharpen them), and a pairing knife!!

My husband used to work in a very fancy kitchen, and got a set of shun knives to make his job easier. They live in my kitchen now since he’s in a different job now, my absolute favorite kitchen accessory.

I was a wedding registry consultant for 9 years. I know it’s unpopular to do gift registries now but I swear these will make your home life so much better: high quality knives, cookware, plates, sheets, down comforter/duvet, towels. Make your home your dreamland on someone else’s dime.
