No the secret is pulling it all up in a high ponytail knot and cover your head with a scarf. My bohos lasted for 3 months with no tangles or matting

Mine have been in a month now. I wash them every week. I braid down and wrap at night but not at night cuz I don’t want them to stink. Refresh with water and foam in the morning.
