Idk; I’m going to play devils advocate here. At my place of employment executives have been more than supportive. Encouraging mental health days, leading by example and taking mental health days for themselves. Company culture isn’t something you can “categorize” to be an industry standard. Maybe the company you’re working for is just toxic and you should evaluate a career change?

If lower level employees can be fired for a fraction of those things then higher ups need to carry that expectation into their leadership. Leadership is the face and direction of the whole company, if one leader is a problem, the whole company is a problem

Sometimes all they have is the work. They don’t light up at all when you try and ask about their interests. They also do a bad job and take advantage of good employees to make themselves look valuable.
