i was weirded out the entire documentary. when i finished it i immediately started researching because i thought it was so weird how they portrayed the mother as some mentally ill mom who made a mistake was so odd — they left out SO many important details … this entire documentary is a no for me!!!

Some women feel competitive and very envious of their daughters. They sabotage their daughters in subtle ways. This story is an extreme but mothers being jealous of their daughters is not as rare as most of us would think.

One thing I’m glad of now that this became so public is that when the time is right, Lauren will have the whispers of the internet validating the thought that her mom is an ABUSER. I understand her wanting her mom. She’s young and that’s her mom. But there will be a day when Lauren will have that realization and I hope all this stays with her so she can recognize the pattern
