I used to own a restaurant, let’s break down the price increase. 2019 > 2025. Rent is up 40% in some areas, food cost is up 35% (recently higher due to tariffs and shortages) , labor 40% starting to decrease. Increased taxes, my area charges a 12% meal tax . A $20 meal quickly becomes $25-$27 after taxes, tips…While there are restaurants who overcharge the reality if that the average restaurant has a 5% profit margin.

It’s not sneaky dude cost a lot of money to remake all those so they chose the cheaper route. And even then we all know how more expensive everything is so of course places are gunna start reflecting that. Make your own food if you can’t afford it.
