@natindigtimes: At a rally outside Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s Marrickville office this week, proud Bundjalung woman and Commissioner For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Young People Vanessa Turnbull-Roberts delivered an address condemning the treatment of First Nations children. She spoke of seeing Aboriginal children as young as 10 wearing ankle monitoring bracelets, saying that the nation’s biggest investment should be in protecting Aboriginal children – not in prisons, policing and surveillance systems. Turnbull-Roberts described the violence faced by First Nations communities as “an act of terrorism” and urged the crowd to resist white supremacy in all its forms.
