Don’t throw away your days-old bread just yet! 🍞🤍 One of my favorite ways to repurpose bread na medyo matigas na is turning it into Bread Pudding. Simple, freezer-friendly, and perfect pang-baon or quick snack. Because in this economy… kailangan talaga nating maging madiskarte! 😂 🍞 HIGH in FIBER BREAD PUDDING Ingredients: • Days-old bread • 3 eggs • Condensed milk, adjust according to your preferred sweetness • Evaporated milk • Cream cheese (optional) • Vanilla extract (optional) • Butter or margarine • Mixed Berry Chia Jam Procedure: 1. Whisk together the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream cheese, and vanilla. 2. Cut the bread into smaller pieces and soak them in the mixture until the liquid is well absorbed. 3. Transfer the soaked bread to a parchment-lined baking pan. 4. Add mixed berry chia jam in between the layers. 5. Top with butter or margarine. OVEN: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F / 175°C. Cover with foil for the first 10 minutes to prevent the top from browning too quickly. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. AIR FRYER: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F / 160°C. Place the bread pudding in an air-fryer-safe baking dish and airfry for approximately 20 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown. Check around the 15-minute mark since air fryers can vary. If the top is browning too quickly, loosely cover it with foil. Allow the bread pudding to cool before slicing. 🫐 MIXED BERRY CHIA JAM Ingredients: • 1 cup frozen mixed berries • 3 tbsp chia seeds • Juice of ½ lemon Procedure: Cook the frozen berries over low to medium heat until soft. Mash the berries as they cook, then add the chia seeds and lemon juice. Continue cooking until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. The jam will continue to thicken as it cools. ❄ STORAGE Bread Pudding: Fridge: 3–4 days in an airtight container. Freezer: Up to 1 month for best quality. I wrapped each slice individually before placing them in a freezer-safe ziplock bag. Mixed Berry Chia Jam: Fridge: Up to 1 week in a clean, airtight container. Freezer: Up to 3 months. Freeze in smaller portions for easier use. Make sure everything is properly cooled before storing. Save this recipe para next time na may days-old bread kayo sa bahay, hindi na masasayang! 🍞🫐🤍 #BreadPudding #ZeroWasteCooking #MealPrepIdeas #BaonIdeas #MomshieKath
