Recipe: Ingredients: 1/4 cup of olive oil 1 sweet onion, finely chopped 2 pounds of ground beef 90/10 1/2 tablespoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 1/2 tablespoon of shawarma spice 1 tablespoon of Amba condiment 2 cups of basmati rice, washed and drained 4 cups of boiling water Garnish: Chopped parsley or cilantro Method: 1. In a large wide pot on medium heat add the olive oil and the chopped onion. Season with salt, pepper, turmeric and garlic powder. Sauté and mix the onion with the spices for 1 minute. 2. Add the ground beef and shawarma spice. Use a wooden spoon to spread out the beef. 3. Mix it all together with the beef and cook it for 4-5 minutes until it is almost cooked. 4. Add the basmati rice, Amba sauce and mix it all well. 5. Pour 4 cups of boiling water, stir a bit and cover with a lid. Cook it on low heat for 40-45 minutes. 6.
