I absolutely feel lucky to be born now, and in this country (despite everything) instead of, say, Bangladesh. I would’ve died at age 7 without modern medicine. I wouldn’t have had many options as a woman. A lot of reasons to feel very fortunate.

We are living during the "Long Peace", and as woman I am grateful for the times. We do need to be vigilant, but it's better than 100 yrs ago, and hope the future is better for all.
