Rikky L. :
When I first went into a long distance relationship with my now husband. I watched a lot of TikTok’s and they mostly said, if you have a target date to when you finally can be together forever, think about that. When I’m overthinking, I think about how I’m never going to see him and then I think wait, 2027 is not that far. FT, if you don’t have anything to talk about, don’t text everything wait until you get talk on the phone, my husband and I play Uno sometimes, sometimes we’ll ask questions that we find on TikTok or Instagram. Sometimes we’ll just scroll on our phones while we’re still FaceTiming. My husband is on deployment rn and we’re having problems video chatting bc of the connection, but all we can do is be patient. During the times you can talk, try to find something to do, I work extra hours to save up for when we do move in together, I try to get into new hobbies, we even made a tiktok couples page and I’ll just edit the videos and pictures we do have of each other and post them, not really for likes, but something to look at when I miss him a lot. We’re both overthinkers but we reassure each other, we pray, and we look at that target date, because it went from 2 1/2 years to 1 year and 4 months. You got this queen!!! An extra tip is for both of you to send voice notes or videos/pictures so yall can hear each others voice, see them in those videos as if you’re with them. And care packages!! I can’t afford them all the time but when I do, I’ll send anything that smells like me or his favorite snacks, etc. he sends me his clothes because I love his smell😂
