Better to be hurt with the truth than be shattered with a lie. This forgive, mercy etc is just delaying the inevitable because the truth like the sun and moon always comes out.

Hmm.. it can meant different things. If you have a bad past. Its best to keep it to yourself. Sometimes, to share it can lead to misinterpretation unless the person you share may able to accept 100% of their flaws. But if in a current relationship, if u did somethinv wrong… and the other person knows it and u deny it. Then it depends on both to confront and whether or not the other person able to accept the truth. As long as the confrontation is about honesty and love and to gain trust. But its unlikely will be the same. Being hurt facing the truth needs lots of courage and genuine love to accept the flaw of the other person
