He was trying to do to Christine what he did to marry, and he assumed, and he thought that she would just stick around like Mary has done all these years, putting up with being ignored and not having an intimate relationship and all the above, but what helped Christine was seeing seeing that play out and say I’m not gonna be another Mary

Christine was the center of the family. She planned the majority of the parties and activities. Kody was never going to be able to push her aside as easily as he did Meri.

I always felt bad for Meri. You could just tell she was an unhappy person. Which probably stemmed from her pregnancy struggles and then Janelle coming into the family with all the baggage that had. And then to see the new wives easily conceive, probably becoming closer to Kody than she was with him. I think her depression lead to jealousy making her very angry and controlling. In turn making it really hard for the other wives and children to live with.

But don't you think Kody as Meri's husband should have clued her in on an event for one of the kids (one of his kids)? Or what what about her bestie Robyn. Like I get Christine and Jenelle not telling her because they didn't have that type of relationship. Her husband and best friend should have looked around and said hey where's Meri, let's go get her.

Ohhhh, sadly this is where really having only 1 child really hurt Meri in the family dynamics 😞 But I so wonder why Meri always defends K&R and refuses to acknowledge how they’ve actively hurt her?!!

Meri seemed to believe that her unwavering loyalty to Robyn and Kody would protect her from their schemes. But Robyn and Kody are hardly the kind of friends anyone would want. Meri chose poorly, just as she always seems to do. She looked down on Christine and Janelle, and in the end, it left her exactly where she is now.

I think thats maybe the case for J but not C. she knew M was being left out and she excused and went along with it to protect herself/ to earn favor. she wanted K (and by extension R's) approval and didn't care about the other wives if it ment getting in K's good books.
