My daughter’s phone was the only way I knew her own teachers were being the bully’s at school. & TRUST ME that teacher got fired. This mama didn’t play.

Our districts phone ban means they can’t have them out during the day, but still on their person for emergencies.

I got an email today telling me the entire districts phones and internet were out. so in an emergency everyone has to wait for their phone to turn on to even call for help?! that's wild!! I told my kids, phones on silent in your backpack. if you touch it and it's not an emergency, you'll lose it.

its so sad that we have to talk to our kids and make a plan for this situation. so dang scary. we have already gotten 2 students with pewpews this year, last year a student had a bag of pewpews then another had ammo they had lists and I was a mess finding out my daughter's name was on it! I kept her home for a few days. I dont think I will ever forget that feeling as a mom knowing what could have happened had someone not told a teacher. my kids no longer attend that high school and I thank God every day for keeping our kids safe that day!

my daughter keeps her phone on her but I made it clear if shit goes down I'm coming to get mine and save as many as I can if I gotta take a bullet so be it but those babies are getting out. 👏👏

Our kids can’t get on their phones during school hours, but they can keep them in their backpack. Thankful for that!

My sons school “enforced” this last November. They literally kept the phone in their pocket or backpack and never put it in the pouch. Was smooth sailing until graduation in June. Good luck!!

After my daughter told me that the school is not responsible if the phones are lost or stolen…. And before this they sent out a video going through the whole process including that the boxes would be kept in a locker outside their last periods class(also there’s a lovely sign on the lockers)… yes they have security and cameras that run 24/7 but whose to stop a group of teenagers having someone cause a distraction and big crowds form just so they can break into the locker… I’m sorry but I told her to turn her phone off and throw it in her bookbag til the end of the day
