sometimes people look at the menu pric3 and make sure they stay within budget when traveling, if you then randomly add charges.... people will be mad. ( also if its like a tip.... people need to learn to pay their staff properly)

Solo in italia però ho viagiato l’Europe da sopra a sotto e da destra a sinistra senza dimenticare l’america latina e mai pagato un coperto … in puglia mi avevano contato un coperto per mio figlio che aveva appena un anno però seduto nel seggiolino a tavola 🤦🏻♂️

on why: "coperto" goes back to medieval times, where an innkeeper would charge a token for the use of a seat,table, cutlery, near the roaring fire (pretty neat in winter times) while you eat food that you brought from outside. From there to now: we have a voice in the menù for that and you must pay it. It pays part of the cost of running a restaurant, instead of having a higher price on every dish. 👍
