I am oathbound to Loki and mostly worship him, the jötnar, and other nature-aligned spirits. They can intense and cryptic and unpredictable, but I love them all dearly ❤️. I'm in a pretty neutral space with the Vanir. I respect the Æsir, but many of them make me uneasy for no reason other than vibes.

I have a relationship with them that I feel would be similar to how you view your family and ancestors. Different ones come to the forefront when I need to learn new things. They have kept me alive.

So, being a plumber I work a lot with Weland the smith and Njord. I have venerated Hel for a long time as well. Thor, I always felt like he is always there. Even though I may not work with him a lot, he’s always been there for me. Which I greatly appreciate. Odin is a little more complicated. Odin comes and goes as he pleases of course. He is always welcome and I’ll always honor him. But, I am very wary working with him and work with him with caution

I've made offerings to Thor and have felt better about certain situations when I have. I feel I've been tested by Loki and I know Tyr has helped me find strength in my life. All the Old Gods have been helping me in my times of mental struggle

I work daily with Hekate and Aphrodite but I’ve also left offering for and spoken to Odin, Freya, Thor and Loki… Persephone assisted me with a tarot reading where I was specifically connecting to a past loved one. Each diety is different and you have to remember they arnt your “friends” they don’t view the world from a human lense. If you respect them they can really help you grow as a human and better yourself. Also hellonic gods think humans are unclean so if you work with them they don’t like blood offerings and they want you to wash your hands with running water before giving them food offerings.

I think a trickster god, Loki/Puck/Coyote whoever killed the other gods with deadly pranks and now they are lonely and bored and occasionally mess with humans to pass the time.

Odin has some id the best advice I have ever seen. I love how he avoids being murdered by establishing that the throne is a suck job for miserable weirdos and everybody wants Thor's job as right hand man

My Norse Pagan Journey :
So I love working with the gods, I have worked with a ton in the Norse pantheon. I now find myself working more with the spirits and ancestors (just as may of our early ancestors did)

I think this would be an awesome discussion. Give us a particular one to do! And obscure would be awesome. Heck, I’d like to know how people have named the gods that we know exist but their names didn’t survive through time, or gods for concepts we have now (like caffeine lol)

I have made offerings to Thor & one day his statuette fell apart, I happened to glue it together during a thunderstorm, and I haven’t seen a lightning strike or thunder so loud and as intense ever since.
