I have a child who has autism and anger issues and I'm telling you the best thing I ever did for him is make a room for him to go to so he could desensitize. it has done a world of good for his sensory issues. i put a lot of distractions.It's such as games coloring activities. music works great. maybe try to make a safe room for him

He wouldn't be allowed to punch me. I understand he's autistic but I think he would respond to consequences like taking things away or even using things he really likes as rewards, but he would not be allowed to put his hands on me without some kind of consequence
