What about if they’re demanding you support them and get deeply involved in their drama when you yourself is having a very hard time? This happened with a friend after I had a newborn baby and had PPD and couldn’t support her like before and she was ranting like this.

had a friend who would only ever talk about herself and her drama, NEVER asked how i was doing, triangulated me into her never ending conflicts, and acted like favors didn’t exist unless she was the one asking me for one. that’s only the tip of the iceberg but it was so one sided i couldn’t do it anymore
