please tell me the worst foundations that you delt with over the years like some foundations being out of square or windows in wrong spots. Do you sometimes check our work before you frame?. seen bad framing and good framing over our work. depends on whos framing it.

I shut down my framing company twice already. ended up running siding by myself during those breaks. It was a fantastic mental reset. Employee's can make it very difficult sometimes 🤷

I did a year in production at a lumber mill. Made me appreciate the trades. My last shift at the mill I quit early and went to your brothers house to watch the redwings versus canucks game. Go wings!

this is how I feel. trades as a job is horrendous unless you enjoy it or have an actual plan/goal. I've been a carpenter for 3yrs now and I'm here to learn how to fix my own house and eventually start buying worn out houses to either flip or keep as rentals.

thanks man, I appreciate your wisdom. I have my Red Seal, I meant that I have been in this trade for a decade and I'm afraid ill have to do 4 more decades lol. You're right, and my effort will change that outcome. I'm 27, and I have time to chase something else. Thanks man🤘

This industry is much better when you work with people you actually enjoy being around and when youre paid enough to not just pay bills. The tasks I do dont affect my day nearly as much as the people I do them with. Some sites ive felt like an Orc in Isengard, and some sites ive felt like a Lost Boy building a fort with the homies.
