I have used both Quill and NoRedInk for Grammar. I prefer Quill simply because it is easier to differentiate and the fact that kids have to actually write out the sentence makes it stick more.

Can you share more details on how you integrate it into your curriculum? Do you just expect them to do it or is there accountability with assessments/grades? I used it last year and felt like it was okay but could have been implemented more effectively.

I love quill! I use it with my 7th and 8th graders and you can definitely tell a difference in their writing

I swear it’s the only thing that taught me grammar I litterally didn’t know how to use any punctuation other than a period, explanation point, and question mark until 9th grade quill actually taught me and it stuck

I HATE quill solely because my freshman english teacher didnt actually tesch us she just told us to do a certain amount of quill each weak, its also so annoying when the answer is something that makes less sense than what i put, it does force me to write better with like apostrophes and stuff bc i never really used them till this year but thats solely out of anger and hatred for quill

Hi, this is from a student view-let quill burn I feel like there’s no point in it. The only reason our teacher assigns it is just to have busy work. And if you do use quill, don’t assign multiple lessons because it literally drives students insanity off the edge of earth. Unless you hate your students, then assign as much as you want. ❤️
