@travisambrosecoach: Space is not the problem. It’s how you create it. Space is actually super healthy. Necessary even. Space gives you the opportunity to miss someone. It gives you the chance to have cool thoughts, relationships and experiences to share with the other person But if taking space is always reactive, rather than proactive That can become a problem. Especially if it doesn’t come with a promise of return and repair. And that’s actually what space should be used for when navigating a difficult conversation Not as a way to avoid the thing You’re going to have to build capacity for discomfort (that means nervous system repair) - You’ll need to get to know the parts of you that want to shut down or withdraw when things are hard - You’ll need to learn how to identify your fkn feelings and needs - Then you’ll need the tools to communicate those Sounds like a lot, huh? Well it is. But it’s fortunately not too complicated. It just requires you to actually show tf up. That’s what my Relational Alchemy Course is for. It’s a step by step guide through all of these tools, habits and practices For the person who is ready to show up for their relationships. And for themselves 💗

When someone asks for time alone I'll give that to them until they reach out again. But avoidant attachers use this as a tactic. You really need to love them deeply or leave because it's hard to do.
