Safety pins are the way to go. It’s possible to make it super discreet. Try to avoid larger shirt collars until you get used to trying this. You only need two small, regular safety pins. Make sure you open the safety pins first because you will not have the hands to do it later. Line the collar of the shirt up where you want it. Carefully grab the shirt and the binder strap (I used my pointer and middle finger under the strap and thumb on top of the strap from outside of the shirt). While holding them together, flip them to the side. Don’t flip it all the way, you won’t be able to see what you’re doing. Take one safety pin, poke it through the inside of the binder strap making the sharp point stick out the other side of the shirt about half way (or less when you’re more comfortable). Bend the safety pin back in the direction it just came from and poke it fully back through. Close the safety pin. Just repeat on the other side and you should never have this issue again. I’ve never had anyone ever see the pins (especially if you tend to wear necklaces) and it isn’t a sensory nightmare, you barely feel it if at all. Fair warning this is how I do it while the clothes are on my body. I do not know how well it works off the body. Also be careful doing this, I’ve jabbed myself so many times and I have bled on occasion.
