@josh_neille: Bittersweet moment today as we said goodbye to two very special wombats, Miller and Matilda 💚 Both of these girls came into care before they even had fur and have been with us for over 2 years. They’re now in absolutely cracking condition, spring’s here, and it’s time for them to go back where they belong out in the bush 🌿 Miller especially is one in a hundred. She grew up alongside Ashlee, they pretty much learned to walk together, and she’s got the most gentle, kind nature you could imagine. That bond is something we’ll never forget 🐻💙 We’re lucky enough to have access to an awesome big private property, absolute wombat paradise, and you can see just how relaxed and happy the girls are to be back in the wild. No tracking or tags allowed unfortunately, so it’s all trust, but I’m confident they’ll be safe here, surrounded by wildlife-minded locals. You might notice a bit of fur missing on their backs, that’s thanks to Rocco biting them on the butt while sharing the pen 🤦‍♂️ Pretty sure they’re happy to finally get away from him! Rocco will join them out in the bush soon enough once he puts on a bit more size. After him, Betty and Kev will be next. It’s always bittersweet letting them go, but this is what it’s all about. Watching them thrive, then sending them home 🏡💚 Hope you enjoy this little longer story and fall in love with the next wombats as their journeys unfold. Onya legends ✌️
