Bread and butter pudding is a super nostalgic dish for me. So this dish represents not only my childhood but how much I’ve grown and developed in the kitchen. And using a brand we all know and love and have grown up with is super special. Shoutout @MasterFoods for growing up with us 🫶🏼  Getting better in the kitchen can be as simple as adding extra lil steps or using spices/herbs that are a lil less common to take a dish to the next level. After all, the best way to learn in anything you do is to ‘do’. Even if you have no idea what you’re doing. Sometimes the best way to learn is to fail.  Hot Cross Bun Pudding with a Masterfoods Cinnamon Crunch Ingredients:  6x brioche, choc chip hot cross buns  2 cups milk  50g butter  70g brown sugar  2 tsp vanilla  4 eggs  1 tsp cinnamon  1/2 tsp nutmeg for a extra depth of flavour  Cinnamon crunch:  1/2 cup rolled oats  1/4 cup all purpose flour  50g brown sugar  1 tbsp cinnamon sugar  56g unsalted butter, cold and cubed  To finish (optional):  Vanilla ice cream  Strawberries  Method:  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.  2. Cut your brioche hot cross buns into quarters and transfer them into an oven safe dish.  3. In a saucepan, combine all of the ingredients for the custard. Break down the eggs before popping the saucepan on incredibly low heat and allow the butter to melt. If the heat is too high, the eggs will scramble so be patient with this step.  4. Take it off the heat once the butter has melted and pour the custard over the hot cross buns. 5. Set this aside while you make the cinnamon crunch. To a bowl, combine the dry ingredients and stir to combine.  6. Add the cold cubed butter and use your fingertips to pinch the butter into the dry mixture until a crumble like texture forms.  7. Sprinkle the crumble over the hot cross buns then place the dish into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.  8. Serve topping with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries and enjoy!  #hotcrossbuns #breadandbutterpudding #easterdesserts
