I am seeing a lot of confusion in the comments. The Nazis started by attacking the socialists and communist writers/thinkers/protesters/professors, etc. within Germany. That is separate from Nazi Germany's relations with the USSR

I’m lucky enough to not be American so you’ll have to explain to me how you guys don’t have access to the internet that very clearly has an abundance of information on the fight between the KPD and NSDAP
