@nomsmag: 🔥 A new modern Korean restaurant just dropped in Vancouver's West End - and it's from the chef behind Tom Sushi and Tozen! Chef Tom Jeon’s latest project, Jeon, officially opened today (Sept 4) inside the old Moxies space on Davie St. “I decided to use my last name, “JEON” because to me, every restaurant I open is deeply personal. I put my heart into it, and if there are challenges, I believe it’s my duty to take full responsibility,” Chef Tom shared with Noms Magazine. But this time, it’s not about sushi - it’s all about elevated Korean eats. On the menu?
✨ Bibimbap with seaweed soup
✨ Crispy pork kimchi jjim
✨ A 12-hour sous-vide prime rib called Woodae Galbi (aka Korea’s answer to steak)
✨ Deep-fried eggplant in Korean glaze
✨ And even gochujang ice cream made by pastry chef Kiko Nakata And yes, the interior is STUNNING — think dark leather booths, Korean-inspired screens, and a giant marble bar. 📍 1160 Davie Street, Vancouver BC 📎 Full scoop L1nk in B1o #media

Tom’s sushi is so overrated. The sashimi isn’t fresh and they are only popular for their rolls that again don’t use fresh fish. The Korean food here looks pretty poor. If you want fancy Korean go to Jinmi. It is amazing food but small portions. Much better than Jeon

Tom sushi and Tozen are both incredible. You can tell Tom Jeon puts his heart and soul into his work. Can’t wait to try his 3rd restaurant. Food is always fresh with great service. His prices are so reasonable for the quality you get. 🥰
