@natureonwheels: 🚗 Roadtrip: Nairobi – Livingstone 🇰🇪➡️🇹🇿➡️🇿🇲 The journey started in Nairobi, crossing into Tanzania via Namanga border. ✅ Kenyans cross into TZ for free (no visa fees). 💡 Fuel tip: Fuel is much more expensive in Kenya, so we filled up in Tanzania(SPEED LIMIT 50 in towns or else you will get fined ⚠️) ------------------------------------- 🗓 Day 1: Nairobi – Babati (TZ) First stop: Babati. Accommodation: Hotels 30,000–50,000 TZS. Rested overnight. ----------------------------------- 🗓 Day 2: Babati – Tunduma – Mpika (ZM) Next stop: Tunduma border (TZ/ZM). Crossing for people is free. Car costs about KES 13,000 (agency fees + road tax required in Zambia). Continued to Mpika for overnight stay. Accommodation: Hotels 350–500 Kwacha. ----------------------------------- 🗓 Day 3: Mpika – Serenje – Lusaka – Livingstone Early morning(11am😂) departure to Serenje. From Serenje(Next Day), Drove non-stop via Lusaka to Livingstone. ⚠️ This leg alone took us 14+ hours of continuous driving a co-driver is highly recommended.(Diesel power🔥) ------------------------------ 💰 Costs to Expect Accommodation: Tanzania: 30,000–50,000 TZS per night. Zambia: 350–500 Kwacha per night. Border Fees (Car): ~KES 13,000 (includes insurance & agency). Tolls in Zambia: 20 Kwacha each, about 5 tolls one way (so ~100 Kwacha each direction). Fuel: Much cheaper in TZ & Zambia than Kenya. --- ✅ Travel tip: Keep small Kwacha notes ready for tolls. ✅ Caution: Zambia stretches are long(scarcity of fuel so refill wherever possible)— plan your fuel stops and rest. Beware of extremely huge potholes, enroute mpika to serenje, costed me two tires🙄😡 #ChasingViews #RoadTripAfrica #NatureOnWheels #ZambiaVibes #Tanzania
