Jelly slice recipe Base: 250g vanilla round wine biscuits 180g butter, melted Middle layer: 1 can condensed milk 3 tsp gelatin 1 cup boiling water Juice 1 whole lemon Jelly top: Jelly packet (any flavour) 3 tsp gelatin Crush biscuits to a fine crumb. Melt butter and add this to your crushed biscuits and mix well. Press this into a lined slice tin and compact it down well. Set in the fridge while you prepare the middle layer. Add gelatin to the boiling water and set aside for 5 minutes. In a bowl pour in the condensed milk and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon. Mix well then add your gelatin mixture. Mix well and pour over your chilled base. Set it in the fridge again for about 2 hours. Once the middle layer is set you can prepare the jelly. Make the jelly as per the instructions on the box and then add 3 tsp of gelatin to the jelly. Whisk and let cool to Luke warm temperature. Pour over your slice and place it back in the fridge until the jelly is set. Another hour or two. Remove from the tin and slice.
