I think this also ties in the to the theory that X was also altering Lin Ling’s arc. Like that one fight scene between Lin Ling and wreck, we hear X’s famous snap followed by the shift into 2D. Perhaps X rescued wreck from that fight cuz we never saw a body afterwards but he’s presumed to be dead. There was also another scene where they were investigating X’s relationships and Wreck was on there.

Also I also realized something. If nice was officially dead then why would they give him screen time if he is dead?
