every cat cafe I've ever been to has been ruined by kids running around. id have loved this level of interaction. last time I didnt actually see any cats cos of the kids 😭😭

There’s a cat cafe in my town but it was real trash, the staff don’t care about the cats they’re just pumping it for money, they’ll let little kids chase after the cats and will pack as many guests into the cafe as they can. I saw elderly cats who were clearly scared and didn’t like the loud noises and I saw middle class children poking and prodding at cats that clearly didn’t want to play like they were toys for their own entertainment. They were also serving food there that was toxic to cats. And it was like £60 for 30 minutes in there. Also it was hard to actually drink when you’ve got to try not to get hit by kids flinging cat toys and running around. I felt bad for the cats and as a cat owner it was upsetting. Cat cafes r lovely but some of them r messed up.

I used to work for this brand of cat cafe, specifically the Nottingham branch….I tell everyone to avoid it!!

the kitty cafe in leeds is super cruel to their cats btw. their whole thing is that they’re an animal shelter but many of the cats die before they even reach their new homes. i’ve been twice before and had a lovely time but a girl i know worked there and she told me all about the abhorrent conditions and she rescued one of the cats only for it to be super sick with a disease that was running rife through all the cats there and it tragically died after a few weeks of her adopting it, costing her hundreds in vets bills. it made me realise that cat cafes are not ethical in any sense and i will never go to one again. the kitty cafe is one of the worst of them all though
