I am in urgent need of a living liver donor. My liver disease has progressed to the point where a transplant is the only path forward. My Cirrhosis is due to Lean NASH (fatty liver for no known reason). I have been living with it for 9 years and started getting sick in December. We are looking for a healthy individual, blood type (I am blood type A+, But any A or O blood type would work. RH factor doesn’t matter) between the ages of 18-60, with a willingness to be tested as a potential living donor. The liver is the only organ in the body that can regenerate, which means a portion of your liver can save a life — and yours will grow back. 💛 All medical costs for the donor are covered by the recipient’s insurance. 💛 Donors typically stay in the hospital for about a week and recover at home over the course of 6–8 weeks. 💛 You don’t need to be a perfect match — just healthy and willing to be evaluated.
