Good idea for them with out tools but if you don’t have basic safe hook up equipment don’t touch it, rule of thumb can usaully check with a multimeter the resistance of the motor in the pump blown pump motor with have silly high resistance

Use 2 wires with a multimeter wires the side that plugs into meter usually round with plastic plug around it so you can avoid crossing wires

Or just use a multimeter and check for power and ground. Pump not running with power? Yeah nothing to think about. Just change it🤔

Don’t always trust it because your fuel pump can still work but not pump good
