I was born and raised in Thibodaux LA, I moved to TX in 1991, I'm still in TX, people still comment on my Cajun accent, I feel special when they hear my accent. My grandkids call me mawmaw, I love it!!!

This is so true. Everyone wants to be more cajun then the other or more country then the other or more redneck than the other. Just be happy with being Cajun. I have some ken that has a strong Cajun accent, then I have other kinfolk that don’t have a accent at all, but does not make them any less Cajun.
