I was raised Roman Catholic. The only people I can think of who'd be upset about your tics if you went to mass are people who don't know tics are a thing. To be blunt, the sound quality behind genuine tourettes tics are extremely noticeable that it's involuntary muscle spasms; they all sound extremely tight. If someone your age came in and started acting the fool, intentionally making these sounds, that would piss people off, though in every parish I've been to, it'd probably be assumed they were mentally disabled because it is so off the norm to see in mass otherwise, so I doubt anyone would say anything to someone like that either. Your louder tics would probably just get a chuckle for the random sound reverberating through the room; often times a cathedral that has AMAZING acoustics. That's pretty much it, though. Most Catholics are pretty chill, and this is coming from someone who left the church with mild religious trauma (extremely mild), so that is really saying something! If you ever want to give a Catholic mass a try, I recommend Easter vigil (unless your hands tic - you get to hold lit candles that you absolutely canNOT extinguish until it's time). As someone who was forced into the faith, I do actually find that one kinda fun because I get to hold fire. It's about 2hrs long compared to the standard one hour (my dad and sister fell asleep once WITH THEIR LIT CANDLES! Mum and I watched the flames like hawks!🤣). Also, do not take communion, as there are strict traditions surrounding that. Know that you aren't required to participate in "mass-ersize," (there's a lot up changing positions in the pews during mass) but it is expected if you are capable of it. You don't have to give any offerings when they send the baskets around; tything isn't required nor even expected, necessarily, so that's your choice. Being an adult, you may get looks if you don't, but that's moreso out of surprise for going off the norm than anything else, as it's rare for adults not to toss a little bit of money in the basket. I was Wiccan for a long time, too. You can do ritual on your own, but no one would care if you tic at circle, though if you're not a coven member, you may not-
