This is what Vucic cynically and hypocritically calls "restraint": students forced to their knees, filmed like trophies by the police, minors arrested, unspeakable violence by the police, hundreds jailed for political reasons, independent media under attack. The letter closes with a blunt rejection of Vucic's narrative: "It is not the youth, it is not the citizens, it is not the demonstrators who are jeopardising Serbia's European path: Serbia belongs to Europe.
