this is so insane..as a malaysian i got my first full time job at 25! and my friend who is 31 just got a new job recently too. 25 being the max in indonesia is INSANE!!! what is the government doing to solve this!

I'm turning 27 next month, graduated in 2023 yet I'm still jobless, it is indeed hard to get a job when you're beyond 25 yr. even entry level or internship. and worse of, the HR culture here mostly ghosting people and not giving formal rejection letter or other info

the wild part is they ask for max age limit at 25 but you need to have 2+ yrs of work experience and be able to do the jobdesk of at least 3 other roles in addition to your own

Some of my interviews from my early career also asked if I currently in a relationship and if yes, am I planning to get married soon. There are no such questions when I interviewed with companies from Thailand, China, or US 🙄

This is insane. But a thing worth noting tho - many lower class families have tendencies to have more children, like 3-4 kids, putting strain into an already tight job market. So it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yeah that why many young here alwasy feel like they running out of time. And many 30s person here just laid back cause they dont really know what to do. U dont give urself time to reflect what you want and ended up burning up by time u 30s

this is why i’m started learning new skills through yt tutorials (for free) and certifications (paid) coz now i’m in my mid 20s still haven’t got any job opportunity and my last client (freelance job) came from overseas so yeah if i want to have a decent saving i’d definitely choose career abroad idc if it takes longer and people overseas would underestimate someone like me coming from a country like indonesia, i’ll do my best anw ✊🏻✊🏻

Not only that, sometimes they also added ‘beauty requirements’ such as candidates having clear skin, long hair, beautiful face structure etc. for client facing roles 💀
