Most of our long runs SHOULDN’T be the same pace as our race time! Just remember that would be poor training strategy to race your long runs! Maybe end the run with a mile or two at race pace, as a mental trick?

Just remember that as women, our bodies go through so many hormone changes during the month, that it impacts our performance dramatically. One day we can be super fast and another it feels like we’re back to square one. You got this!

the mental is harder then the physical. miles are miles, training is all about time on feet. you're not alone in this struggle right now. dont worry about your time right now just worry about giving tourself grace and encouragement right now

My running coach told me that my long runs in training should be about 60-90 seconds per mile slower than a race pace… it’s more about time on feet and working on heart strength and endurance. Most long runs should be zone 2, and sometimes a push in the middle or end to hit race pace miles.
