They need to stop teaching these kids to take a standardized tests. And stop giving these insane money to admins and contractors. We’re 45th in education something needs to be done.

Why are taxes so much cheaper in Georgetown Delaware say then Newark. My friend has a 4000 square-foot house in Georgetown pays $500 a year in taxes I paid 3800 for a 2000 square-foot house in Newark. We are both seniors.

I been arguing about the delaware education with people forever. MAJOR waste of money and time wasted is sports. sports do not belong in school. it has ZERO to do with education and is a complete waste.

We deal with the same thing in Missouri. We see what our school taxes go to. Ours went thru the roof this year because the bought a building that has set empty for YEARS, used it for the “new admin office” but the thing is why do you need a building that used to be a Fred’s for 3 people that are in the office all day? We voted for the hike so we would have a weather shelter and better funding for our kids. Not a big office for the superintendent! 🤦🏼♀️

it’s the districts that get majority of the tax money….charter schools only get a fraction of it!! My kids have never been in the district have been in charter since starting school (9th & 11th grade currently), but yet the district gets all of my school tax?

can’t decided if we should stay here choiced in to a school 45mins away because they actually follow his IEP or move back to NJ and pay the even crazier taxes. At least NJ teacher pay was good DE teaching salary is sad.

delaware schools are a disgrace. administrators dont care about kids or their education and become administrators to get out of the classroom and make more $. the money fr property tax increases and school taxes will continue to be wasted or "lost" and nothing will be done...they will continue to ask for more more!

I remember my middle school teacher got booted bc of a referendum not passing and being mad at the elderly. Not much has changed I’m still mad at them for other reasons now
