@airplanefactswithmax: I’ve not really talked about this on tik tok, but in September of 2022 my wife Jones passed away. She had a laugh that could brighten a bad day, and a smile that could light up a room. She was unapologetically herself and a truly unique soul. We were together almost 10 years, and have two kids together. A few months after I started making these videos just to say to the world “I’m still here” even though I never expected anyone to watch them. It’s interesting because when I scroll down this page it feels like a living timeline of a healing process. Making airplane facts gave me a sense of purpose outside of being the best dad I can be. It gave me something to look forward to those times I felt most alone at work. I have come a long way since then, I’m not the person I used to be. Our old life feels like a dream that I will never get back to. But because of this page I learned I still had a life that I wanted to live, and not just survive. So thank you for being here and a part of it. If you know grief, you know it never goes away, but that it’s something we learn to carry with us. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her. And if you’re grieving, I promise you will learn to carry it. You will learn how to ride the waves when they crash, and you will learn to smile again. Anyways thanks for being here and reading all this. Love ya bye

Sending love, Max 🖤 Frodo carried wounds that never fully healed, yet life still found a way to bloom in the Shire. Not all tears are evil, like Frodo’s, they water the ground where new life can grow. 🫶🏼

Grief becomes a stone in your pocket, sometimes you forget it's there, then it shocks you when your hand randomly brushes against it. ✌️

Grief is a burden much like the Ring, too heavy to bear alone. Share it, and its weight lessens; carry it together, and the road, though long, can still lead to light

My mom lost my dad in a very shocking and random way in March and isn’t ready to start to heal yet and that’s okay, but she was saying she can’t imagine what her something else will be and tomorrow I’m gonna tell her that she really does need to start trying because who knows what [airplane] [tolkien] facts venn diagram that she is the only person who lives in the middle of. Grief is weird as hell, feels like a liminal space. I think Gandalf was good at it

Thanks for your choices Max. Peace to you! . . . . "I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I appreciate you sharing. I lost the George to my Gracie, the Costello to my Abbott and a sizeable piece of what made life incredible in 2014. It's impossible to be the same after, but we still get to share our people and ourselves in ways that bring others and ourselves joy. I'll be thinking of you, your kids, and all those that are missing a clearly remarkable human. She sounds amazing. It's always the ones that light up a room that leave us too soon. My Chris was that way.

At one point, there was a hole in the ground and one in your heart. one fills with a coffin and dirt, the other fills with the life you live after the other one is filled in.

My heartfelt condolences. I had no idea. You never know the sorrows and burdens folks are carrying. Your videos bring a little more joy into my life. I hope they bring you some joy as well. You are a beautiful soul and the grief you carry and the mark she has made (and still makes) is a part of that. Keep healing, friend. Thanks for being a part of my timeline and for sharing this vulnerability with us.
