i was a preschool teacher for years, and it is very obvious which 3 year olds don’t read with their parents at home. unless she has a learning disability, don’t blame the schools. it starts way before that.

As a former teacher, this isn’t because of school. I’ve never found it useful to shame parents, because you never know the circumstances. It’s important for parents to understand that my role is meant to support yours. Your child’s first and most important educator is YOU.
