would this not be the equivalent of like fast food? you don't tip the cashier there,, or thr person who made the food. I dont see why you would tip a robot.

there’s this korean bbq place next to where i live and i tip $5 everytime JJST because it’s a cat robot and it meows AND you can pet it AND IT PURRS

No person, no tip. If there is not a person providing me service, there is no one to tip. And I will even tip for curbside... but if all you do is hand me food at a counter or put food on a robot tray, I'm not tipping for that.

Tipping is for servers bc they make less than $3 an hr. Everyone in a restaurant with robot servers are actually making money. The tip part of that is just greedy.

You can ask the restaurant who gets the tip. Some are cringe and it goes to the owner, but others can be split among staff

I would treat that like Taco Bell or McDonald’s. Ordering at a kiosk and there’s only staff in the back putting orders together. Not tipping for that.

I do like $5, just because I’m assuming the poor hosts are paid as tipped employees or something and while it’s not my responsibility to pay their wage, I as a customer contribute to the place being open so I feel obligated to contribute
